HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Ascension St. Vincent health system says some elective procedures, such as tests and appointments, have been temporarily paused while they investigate a cyber security issue.

Hospital officials say they noticed unusual activity on some of their network systems yesterday. They also said they’re investigating what happened, and if any patient information may have been compromised.

Experts say if you get a letter from the hospital, you should put a “fraud alert” on your card Ascension says systems that are currently unavailable include “My Chart”, some phone systems and various systems used to order tests, procedures and medication.
