Hollywood's most famous rides pull into the Philly Auto Show

PHILADELPHIA --It took 116 years, but a bit of Hollywood will finally make an appearance at the Philadelphia Auto Show -- well at least several Hollywood vehicles will be there this year.

The Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia, owners and producers of the iconic auto show, recently announced that for the first time ever, a caravan of famous Hollywood cars will be on display at the Philadelphia Auto Show at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from Saturday to Feb. 5.

From Batman's 1966 Batmobile to Harry Potter's Ford Anglia, the display will feature familiar, four-wheeled movie stars from Hollywood's biggest blockbusters.

The Delorean from "Back to the Future," the Ghostbusters' 1991 Cadillac Hearse Ecto-1, "Dumb and Dumber's" furry 1989 Ford Econoline Van, "Sheep Dog" aka the Mutts Cutts Mobile, the Frankenstein Mustang from "Death Race," the famous Jeep from "Jurassic Park," and Thor the Impala from "Supernatural."

"We are back and better than ever before," said David Kelleher, chairman of the 2017 Philadelphia Auto Show. "There is so much buzz around the industry this time of year, it's very exciting. We are unbelievably thrilled to welcome some of the latest products to hit the market as well as several new features that are sure to please all our guests. Philadelphia, it's time to find what moves you!"

The show will once again feature the newest preproduction and hot production models including 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, Hyundai Genesis G80, and the Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 and 250.

For those who enjoy the exotic models, the Philly Auto Show will host a new Super Car display featuring a Saleen S7 Twin Turbo Competition, Ferrari 599XX, SSC Ultimate Aero and Mosler Raptor GTR, and the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso which debuted at the Paris Auto Show.

The Karma Revero, the first car sold in the United States with a solar roof, will also be on display.

The Philly Auto Show is one of the largest in the country with 700,000 square feet of display floor covered in thousands of vehicles.

Tickets are $14 for guests 13 and older, and $7 for children from 7 to 12 years old. Tickets can be purchased at phillyautoshow.com or at the Convention Center box office. For every ticket purchased, $2 will be donated to the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation, which supports programs that benefit area children such as Driving Away the Cold which provides brand new coats to children in need.
